How to Calculate the Bike Average Formula?

Our Country’s has Reality is that fuel prices constantly rise. It is more difficult would choose for the one which gives the best mileage. The mileage of bike is one of the main concerns while investing is a bike.The average mileage of a bike is just one indicators of its on-road condition.

In this Article, we will discuss the many ways for calculating the mileage of your bike .

Calculated the Bike Average Formula?

Calculated the bike average is process. Our brain have many questions like which bike i can afford, which bike has additional features and which bike is more comfort.  For example, if you ride your bike for 200 km with 5 litres of fuel, the Mileage of your bike is 200km/5 litre

Now, we will use the three formulas of bike average calculated in three methods;

Full Tank Method:

In this first method, you must fill the bike’s fuel in full capacity and reset the trip metre to 0. Always note the amount of fuel filled in litres every time. Then ride your bike for 100 km and again refill the tank. Now, apply this formula and calculate the respective mileage.

In this average will give you a fair idea of the bike’s Mileage.This method is most common to determine the bike mileage , whenever the tank is full or not it does not provide accurate results.

Mileage Testing Bottle Method:

In this method, the fuel pipe to the carburettor is attached with the measuring bottle with fuel (say 500 ml) in it, the trip meter is set to 0, and the bike is riding is made up 100ml bottle until the fuel. The trip meter is note down and divided by 0.4 litres or whatever amount used . At the end reading gives the mileage of the bike.

This approach employs a mileage measurement bottle directly linked to carburetor through the handlebar or affixed to the fuel tank. This method is accurate and only depends on the driving conditions at measured, so be ride in normal mode.

Reserve Filling Method:

This method is utilizes the reserve switch or digital reserve indicator on your fuel tank. When your bike turns into reserve position, reset and mark the odometer reading.

Let’s the current odometer reading is 1,000 Kilometers. Now, approximately 1 litre of petrol (pre-filled bottle).Ride your bike till it again comes to the reserve position. Now at this point the bike covered is 1050 km. Let see the difference between the final and initial position. Which comes out to 50 km (1050 – 1000)km. This 50 km is covered 1 litre of fuel. Thus, the result is the mileage here come out to be 50km/litre.

Also check the three to four readings to get definitive distance.

Check The Mileage of bike

Checking the mileage of a bike is simple process. It would help you to determine the mileage of a bike for one litre of petrol.

There are Six steps of bike mileage;

  1. Try to ride the bike as much as possible, such that the entire full tank is empty and there is no fuel in reserve tank as well.
  2. Fill in exactly one litre of petrol.
  3. Write down how many kilometres the bike has travelled of the odometer.
  4. Usually, the bike riding has normal until it runs out of fuel.
  5. Once the bike stops due to an empty tank, note down the odometer and see there distance travelled.
  6. Subtract the first reading from the second. This will show you how many kilometers your bike travelled on 1 litre of petrol.

Now, you have learnt, how you can check the mileage for your bike.

Check The Mileage of Scooty

The mileage of scooty is to check simple process. Most scooty have a “treadwear indicator” built into the tread pattern, it’s time for a new set of tires.

First step is to locate on odometer and then you have usually located on the handlebars near of speedometer.

Look out your reading, note down  the current mileage. You can check for this, so be sure your mileage have been reset to zero.When you can not find the odometer or doesn’t working properly, also you can look  at the tires of the mileage.

Whenever the tires can be changed, so that a scooty mileage is also changed.

Conclusion

However, vehicle mileage calculators based on vehicle parameters for free.The fundamental formula for calculating mileage in KMPL is distance travelled in Kms/Amount of fuel used in litres.The average of bike is basically calculated in these formulas. Also check the mileage of bike and scooty. Hence, the calculating the mileage of your vehicles is one of the good things to do.
